THERE WILL BE NO CANCELLATIONS, REFUNDS OR CREDITS ISSUED FOR 8 WEEK SESSIONS, SUMMER CAMPS OR COURSES AND SPECIAL EVENTS.CANCELLATION POLICY – MONTHLY CONTRACTS ONLY (Sept to June dance classes)PKS Dance Elite Ltd. would like to reiterate that your agreement is for the full school year (Sept to June), however, if circumstances dictate the termination of this agreement, written notice needs to be given 30 days in advance. During the first 3 weeks of classes, changes may be made to the students schedule/courses (addition or subtraction of courses) without any financial penalty. After this time, courses may be adjusted but our 30 day cancellation will apply. THERE WILL BE NO WITHDRAWALS, CANCELLATIONS, REFUNDS or CREDITS ISSUED FOR TERMINATION OF MONTHLY AGREEMENT AFTER FEBRUARY 1ST so that we can effectively plan for our recital. Clients will be responsible for monthly fees until June and any costume costs if applicable. Students are expected to participate in the year end gala (costume, tickets etc – at additional cost).

All of PKS Dance Elite Ltd. programs are taught by qualified dance professionals. PKS Dance Elite Ltd. reserves the right to restrict, limit, eliminate or change any classes or instructors, as it deems necessary. PKS Dance Elite Ltd. dancers must adhere to dress code, be on time for class(es) and have a good work ethic. They must be respectful to teachers, parents and fellow dancers and their studio home. Students that do not abide by studio etiquette will be removed from class(es). Classes cancelled due to circumstances outside of PKS Dance Elite Ltd control (weather, acts of God, pandemics etc.) will not be made up however, alternate classes may be made available upon request. In the event of government mandated closures, classes will move to online format immediately.

Disclaimer: Students and parents that register at PKS Dance Elite Ltd. understand and agree that PKS Dance Elite Ltd. is in no way responsible for the safekeeping of any personal belongings while attending class, that classes may be physically strenuous and parents and students voluntarily participate in them with full knowledge that there is risk of personal injury, property loss or death. Neither students, families, assigns or legal representatives will sue or make any other claims of any kind whatsoever against or its members for any personal injury, property damage/loss, or wrongful death, whether caused by negligence or otherwise.PKS Dance Elite Ltd. reserves the right to use photographs or video, taken either in class or in the PKS Dance Elite Ltd. facility, or in any performances of PKS Dance Elite Ltd. students and/or their art, for the purposes of instruction, advertising and promoting PKS Dance Elite Ltd. and its programs. Students or parents/guardians of students who are minors, who do not wish to comply with this policy must notify the Front Desk in writing when they register.

Parents/students agree to conduct a passive screening before each visit to the studio and not attend if ill. In the event of government mandated closures, classes will move to online format immediately.

Parents agree to having read and agreed to the content of the Competitive Handbook and agree to uphold all core values, principles and philosophies as stated in the handbook and understand that breach of any may result in immediate expulsion from the team and/or PKS Dance Elite Ltd.Parents have reviewed the content of the handbook with their competitive dancer.

Please remember that your anonymity on Social Media is never guaranteed and to exercise particular caution when posts, images, or videos identify children in your care.

Remain mindful that your behaviour on Social Media remains in keeping with the PKS Dance Elite Ltd core values.Any comments or posts perceived to be obscene, defamatory, threatening, harassing, discriminatory or hateful towards PKS staff, students or families may subject the owner to disciplinary or legal action.

Should you wish to engage on Social Media while identifying as a studio dancer, parent, volunteer or employee, you must only do so with integrity and respect and adhere to privacy and confidentiality policies. Any content revealing or referring to sensitive studio information is not allowed to be shared online.

Intellectual property laws (for example, costume design and choreography), must be observed by all studio patrons when posting online. You must have permission from the studio owners to post any intellectual property. This includes but not limited to manuals, forms, handbooks, and syllabus, etc.

While affiliated with our studio, (for example, images of your child in PKS uniform) we will not tolerate any posts that are racially, sexually, physically or religiously offensive.

All matters pertaining directly to the studio – whether it be fees, scheduling, placements or performance opportunities – may not be communicated via Social Media. We have an open door policy and encourage all communication, complaints and feedback to be communicated to the owners directly.

Families found to be engaging in ‘hidden’ or ‘private’ groups formed for the specific purpose of discussing studio matters will be encouraged to join our closed Facebook group for public discussion and warned against discussing studio matters in their private online groups.

Photos or Videos taken from performances or rehearsals may NOT be posted online.You may not post photographs/videos that feature PKS dancers other than your own online without the proven consent of their parent/guardian.

Identifying information of any featured minors – including names, ages or location – must be removed when posting on Social Media.
